Hey guys I am getting a seciond hand Lightning longbow (Hill style bamboo/yew/carbon) I will be getting around 46-50lbs at my draw(27-28") and I have the opportunity to get some 1916's(Fall Stalkers) and I was thingking at about 28" with a 125grn head might just bwe the ticket. What do you all think?

BobCo 1965

Sure sounds about right to me.

You might want to try cutting an arrow to 29" and trying that first before cutting to 28".

Hey,  at 27 inches with 125 heads,  the 1916's fly perfect out of my Strike Force at 52 lbs.

I would go with the 29" 29.5" arrow.

1916's should be great.  I love 28.5" BOP with 125gr heads out of my Navajo Caddo r/d longbow #47 @ 27".

The 1916's should work fine. I would bare shaft one starting out longer than you think you will need say 29 with the 125 gr. Set your brace height to where you like it best. Cut off in 1/4" increments. knock left point right is weak. Knock right point left is to strong.(stop before you get there) Knock high raise your knock point, knock low lower your knock point. When the arrow flies like a dart, you will then know your proper length. Sure beats guessing and ending up with to short of arrows.

Sorry, when I reread this I noticed I stated your knock height backwards. Knock high lower knock, knock low raise knock. See what happens when you are on here and should be in bed.

I use 1918s 27''bop out of a Robertson pierce point vision and get perfect flight, with your longer draw I would try 2016 for the weight advantage.  With a heavier broadhead I would be surprised if they didn't work.
