Honestly, what kind of bow people shoot has never been a deciding factor in whether or not I want to hunt with someone. I've been in a number of hunting camps where it just happened that everyone shot traditional equipment. But for the most part, my hunting companions shoot a wide variety of equipment.

Personally, I've never noticed a connection between someone's hunting ethics and whether or not they have wheels on their bow limbs, so I tend to not care who's shooting what. Good people are good people, and bad people are bad. Being able to push-pull string your bow doesn't change that.

Here is my hunting camp. We don't discriminate against each other.

I'll hunt with anybody who's fun to be with using whatever they want. Except an atlatl...but that's only because I can't pronounce it.

When I don't hunt alone, I hunt with my brother and/or one other hunting partner.  We all shoot traditional gear and are all pretty hard core.  We probably couldn't get along with anyone else.  :goldtooth:

Well I have to say, that my favorite person to hunt with barr none is my dad.  He taught me everything I know about it (and not a dent has been made in the ole fella's store of hunting know how).  I have never pulled a wheel bow in my life.  But Dad prefers it.  So does my little brother.  I do take after him in this one thing though " Doesn't matter what you hunt with, it only matters that you hunt and teach others to do the same."   True dat.

Well, in every single hunting camp it's ever been my pleasure to attend (just the one so far - heh), there was a compound shooter.   Not only did I not get cooties, he was a really nice guy with an outstanding sense of humor and the campfire just wouldn't have been the same with out him.

Shoot what ya want within the law and not at me, and we're good to go. :-D

I have to agree with Jon in the originating post.

I'll hunt with anyone that follows the law and likes to have a good time.  It really doesn't matter what equiptment they use.  It is more fun to me if there are other people there just excited to see deer and share stories! In my opinion we should do everything we can to perpetuate our sport/way of life.  There are too many forces working against us!!! I'll welcome anyone into my camp that is ethical and a general good person.

Just my opinion,

*And I'll share a fire with Kahn and his boy any day of the week. That kid is a heck of a shot!

I'll hunt with most anyone who is courteous and generally fun to be around.  I do perfer my tradtional buddies though.  It just seems like we have more to talk about when the campfires are lit.
