I have an admitted weakness for the one-piece 1950s style recurves. I recently bought a Boss 'curve off the classifieds here, and it is very well made. I havn't been able to find out much about Dick Boss or his bow business. Does he still make bows? I know he is a friend of Dale Karch, and that he has a daughter who was a well known archer. Any info on the Boss bow maker?
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Great guy, great bows. Shouldnt have sold mine.

That may have been my bow, John.

Dick is still in business in Elizabeth, Colorado. Great guy, and makes a nice bow. Anyway, here's the contact info:

Dick Boss
34104 Cimarron Trail
Elizabeth, CO 80107
(303) 646-4990.

He sells a lot of his bows through Bob's Archery Sales in Castle Rock, CO, and Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear in Arvada.

Good luck!

Yeah SCATTERSHOT that may be your bow that I bought from you and then traded for a Bird bow with less #. It was a nice bow.  David

Amazing how those things get around, isn't it? Whenever I buy a bow I wish it could tell of the places it's been.
