When experimenting with FOC, do you have to add the heavy inserts or can i just try shooting some large size heads.......225, 250,300 or something along those lines.  Reason for this questions is, I have read post where someone will add a 100 grain insert and shoot a 125 or 150 grain head.  the quesiton is why cant i just use glue on BH with steel adapters?  to mee it seems so much easier than installing inserts.  JMO

Either way works it is weight in front of the center.Alot of guys like to use a certain weight head and go with a 100 gr. insert to get more FOC or you can use just a heavier point.It is what ever works for you,but you still need to keep your arrow intune in my opinion.

I use 50gr brass insert and 250 tip.

I just use bigger broadheads.  

Bigger heads......which ones do you use??  i am kinda stuck on the WW head, because i have finally figured out how to sharpen it and they blow through deer.  i have found that i can get steel adapters for them from 75-125 gr and have ordered a set of each to figure out which combo works best.

Looks like you have it covered.  I have found it a little easier to change inserts than point adapters though.  I use both to get the weight I need.

Some also believe that the stock aluminum insert is a weak link in the system.  If it is your field arrows, yes, that solution is the simple option.

Some times it is difficult to find a head heavy enough on its own, so people use the heavy insert to build up the weight. One of the sponsors has a 300 gr head coming out soon. Looks pretty mean.

i would go with steel inserts and adapters if available that way you could use a tougher head than if you used a brass or stock insert, if you find a weight combo with standard inserts that works well you could weigh the whole setup insert adapters field point.  then start puting some together starting with a tuff insert and adapter then as heavy of a broadhead as possible.
this way you can fool around with weight with field points without removing the inserts, then change inserts just one time,  probably going to have to buy new field points or have broadhead shafts with tuff inserts and target ones with standard inserts.  this worked for me it might take some fine tunning with glue on broadheads.
