I've been on the list for 6 months so hoping for a completion date in March - and I can't wait!

Dave's waiting list has grown by 4 months since I got on there. Looks like my next bow from him will be a while coming after this one....

Brianlocal3,

Is it just the way the photo looks, or do those arrows have plastic fletching?

MikeNova

Thought just hit me. Does anyone shoot or have intrest in the Hill bows he was shooting in the 1930"s? Rik I looked a t those arrows close also I'mm 99.99% sure they are feathers but they do look like vanes.

Goshawkin

Brian said they were feathers a few posts back.

Brianlocal3

They are feathers.  I do shoot some 2213 with 4" plastic vanes cock feather in and do not have an issue, but I use my feather as a 3rd anchor so I like cock feather out

New guy here and I have definitely caught the HH bug!  Looking to get my first HH and was wondering if anyone had any advice for me.  I have heard about string follow.  Can someone tell me what this is?  Hope I put this in the right forum.  If not, take it easy on me being a newbie!  Thanks in advance for the help.

BigJ... if you are buying new, spend some time talking to the bowyer. Any of the good guys will talk your ear off and give you all the help you could possibly need. Nate Steen, Dave Miller, Dave Johnson, Craig Ekin, JD Berry... I'm sure I missed some. These guys know their bows!

If you are going used, give us some details what you are looking for.

Search String Follow on the PowWow and you'll get a nice picture.

Thanks for the photos and info, Shawn. I haven't called James yet, but I did contact HHA for a back quiver. Problem is, my wife says I can't open the package when it gets here 'cause it is going to be a gift from the family so it has to go under the Christmas tree!

Ak,
Who will scream louder Christmas morning, you or the kids!!! Ha. And you can not go wrong calling James. He is a wonderful bower to work with.

Shawn,  that was mean on sooooo many levels. I might have just shed a tear.

Bob, a glass of wine or two I hope helps, maybe some headphones with some good bluegrass gospel to sooth the soul.

BigJ,

As far as advice on your frist HH longbow, what is your draw length, and what poundage are you looking for.  Lastly, what is your budget?
