I recently recived a PM asking if I had the pictures that go with the "How to" on making a footed riser. I notice myself that the pics are missing. I don't know why they are no longer in photobucket and I can't seem to find the ones that I took either    :(

But, I do have some pics of footed risers (including one I made) along with the jigs. So I thought I would share them with everyone incase someone else would like to see them.

I hope the people that these pics belong to don't mind they were all originally posted here.

Maybe you can identify who they belong to. I will put the bows up first and then the jigs.

Admin, I don't think they are too big, let me know if I need to resize.

Here are some jigs:
This is the main jig, I used one just like this, but this is not mine. (I feel like such a copy cat   :D  . Hope it helps someone.)

RayMO

Here is the other jig that you will need, again not mine, but I used one just like it.

Last jig for cutting wedges. I did not use this I purchased them directly from Bingham. Here it is:

Oh, I almost forgot, the one that I made:

Footed riser #5

Lewis Brookshire III

And here is the sister to that riser, Ray sent me the reverse riser block. This was right after being finished sanded.

Hi Lewis,

Did you get one of these to stay together  :D  ?

Lewis Brookshire III

Yeah I got 5 of them to stay together, this was the only one that blew. I am pretty sure it was just a faulty glue line from when I glued the riser up. I really hated it to cause that was a pretty riser.

Got any pictures of the other risers?

The maple and black walnut make a pretty riser, but it is too light for my taste.

Those are some great looking kids Lewis, I have some grandkids about like that  :D . What a blessing they are!

Yeah I will email you some pics of the others. I noticed the lightness too in that riser wood combo I was building a Osage riser along with it at the same time and the Osage was a pretty good bit heavier.

Thanks, my kids are my pride and joy. GOD has surely blessed me with them!
