But it wont work as a bowarm.any lefty's out there that are unable to shoot their sunset hill for the same reasons that might want to trade? I just ain't looking forward to being last on Nates bow list .

Ari:

That bow you are getting is named "Schulzy".  Now that she is going down under I will never get her back.

Thanks to all for the congrats on the hog.  Quite a critter and a hunt.

ChrisM and myself went for a walk stump shooting and looking for turkey sign in the national forest.  Had a blast shooting our Hill's and visiting about all things trad.  Really enjoyed the day out with the cool temps and great company.  Look forward to shooting again with ya.  Thanks for the feathers and arrow checker and showing me some new spots to hunt.  Here are a few photos from the day.

This one is for the Howard Hill Catalog!      :p

I stil have the dream of killing a turkey with a Hill bow from the ground and no blind.  I have botched a few set ups and missed 1, but this may be my year...I hope.

Anybody accomplish this??

Sometimes I feel like I have to do some clout shooting to get some shots off!

I've been dreaming of turkey season since January. The beginning of March, I'll be out chasing Osceola's.

Jeff, I hope you can forgive me for stealing your old friend Schulzy away, but who could say no to an all expenses paid extended Aussie bow hunting trip. Could you blame her for not coming home?   :dunno:

Ben Maher

Don't worry Jeff ... 'll pop up and see Ari ... make sure he is taking care of her ......

Anytime Ben, I'd bet you've got a wealth of knowledge to share with a rookie like me.

This is exactly what ChrisM is working to accomplish this spring.

Schulzy was originally a heavyweight bow.  Take care of her down under.  Very smooth drawing bow.  Ben you will like the looks of Schulzy.

Ari, enjoy the Sunset Hill.

Going to get me a new heavier one when my name pops up down the road on Nate's list.

How cool is this?....way!!... I'm saying.

Congratulations!!

Getting it done the same as it would've been done in Sherwood is totally awesome.

God bless, Mudd
It was a really great hunt.  Thanks for the congrats, ol "Hill" school is the best school!  Really great way to take critters.

Think I'm going to try for a pig wendsday evening. Anyone ever heard of pouring grape coolaid powder on soil as a way of bringing them in???

Rik

Jello powder works for bears, and their noses aren't as good as pigs. You might try some Jello powder too, it has a strong, sweet odor.

ChrisM

Yep if you mix it with corn when you are feeding them up then when you hunt the smell alone can and will bring them in.

Hey Gang-

A couple of months ago, several of us were interested in getting together for a hunt. A couple of days ago Nate and I were talking about a Hill Tradgang hog hunt, that was fair chase, and Hill bows.

I suggested Georgia, because of the hog population and being that Atlanta was a hub, it would be easy access. Jesus(RushLush) and I would have about a 7 hour drive to Ga.

The hunt could be a weekend Fri, Sat, and Sun,  and we would have to decide on the best month.

If your interested, give me a call because I would like to put something together.

The "Hill" pig gig sounds like a great idea.

On baiting the pigs:

corn, jello packets, beer.  Yes, I know that will offend some of the diehard beer drinkers, but getting that beer in there to ferment, gets a mixture that once ol boar gets a taste of the spirits, he just has to keep coming back.

Darren, I tried to reply to your PM...your mail box is full buddy!

Sounds like it has promise of being an annual get together.  I don't think I will be able to swing it any time soon.  You guys decide on the month and I'll see what I can do.
