This has been a painful week in more ways than one... I was so excited to adopt another Hill and bring her home over the weekend.... the pinched nerve in my back has kept me from even being able to string her up much less shoot. It's worse than that week leading up to Christmas as a kid... worse than that night before you head to hunting camp after an awesome summer scouting.... Okay well maybe not that bad.  But is sure stinks. The weather has been awesome all week and I can't do a thing. Figure I am couple days away from feeling about 80% and about the same distance from crappy weather.  I am going to miss out on the best day of the year... for some reason the traffic is better and the woods are empty this Sunday.  And I    can't throw on a pack or haul any weight without that crazy stabbing knife between my shoulder blades. Both of those darn Wesley Special's are haunting me.

Has any one used Stu's Calc for hill style bows? i have tried but the readings seem to come out way to fast? Sorry if this has all ready been covered.

Ben Maher

i get an okay reading with Stu's calc with alloys , haven't tried it with Carbons ...

It comes pretty close for me using 3/16 for the centercut number.

Steve, thats a real bummer about your bow! One thing for sure Steve Turay will take good care of you.

Steve, At least you have that Schulz to shoot until you find out where your Norther Mist went to.

BowHunterGA,

Sorry to hear about your bow, but I wouldn't give up hope just yet.  It took about 23 days for a bow I sent from NJ to make it to TX.  USPS couldn't track it, but it eventually showed up unharmed to the seller.  I'm not sure how a big tube gets misplaced or lost, however it happens.  I have a feeling it may show up.  Good luck.  Keep us posted.

Better to have a bow temporarily lost by USPS than driven over by a forklift by UPS; as I've had happen twice.

Correct you are Phillip! And I "consoled" myself for about half an hour with the new Schulz today!!!  :goldtooth:

Man I LOVE IT when a bow bends perfectly like that!

Mudd

Steve that is poetry that you can put your hand on and hold it near.

I can see where it could do the job of consoling a troubled spirit.

To the "Hill" brotherhood:

Saturday Night Lights!

Caught a boar coming into the bait site tonight.  He was the small one.  The first one, busted my scent! My biggest boar so far.  Howard Hill Big Five, Jerry Hill wood arrow, Tuffhead.  He went about 75 yrds.  Great to get away and be in the outdoors this evening.

Man Jeff...!!!!  Congrats.  That's what I like to see...proof of the Hill technique in the field.  My late night kudos to you sir!

And did I notice the plaid shirt and backquiver?   You bet I did...very classy indeed.   You must tell me...did you think about form during the shot or was it just a fluid cadence from beginning to end....

Again I say congrats....nice going buddy.

That's gettin' it done in style, Jeff.

Hey Dragonheart-

BIG CONGRATS for this one. That`s hunting in style.    Wish I could do so over here, but a said before: it`s not legal in Germany!
Great shooting combo. Is Jerry Hill back in business? Or are these some arrows of his legacy? Just asking, `cause I am shooting a Jerry Hill Longbow built in 2003.
