I bought some Johnson's paste wax this past week to touch up some older bows I have.  After putting it on and buffing it out after drying it seems like the scratches are more visible.  Is this what everyone else finds?  Should I have lightly buffed the bow with steel wool first?  I thought this would take out this tiny/fine scratches and smudges, but it seems to make em more visible.  Thanks...Mike

Ive been told use car wax with carnuba

Car wax for the scatches on the bow but the paste wax works great on your wood arrows so you are in luck.

Thanks guys.  Any recommendations for a good car wax to use?  Mike

Meguiar's has a car polish system that works good on lite scratches with a lot of buffing but I look at nicks and scatches on my bow as memory marks from the places I've been and hunts taken.
