If I was looking for a 'Nanner cut in the Vario Clipper and I'm going to be using it for hunting - would you pick the "Hunter" (I know, I know... the "name" - it's a low profile 'nanner though) or the "Swing" which is a high profile 'nanner)???

Also - would you go with the 5" or the 6" in either of these two.

I know I'm probably beating this to death everyone - it's my 3rd post regarding the Vario Clipper, and I should have bought one already - but I want to be 100% sure I get one that will be great for hunting - and I've never used anything other than Shield cut so far.

Thanks in advance!
All the best,
Glenn

If your setup is tuned in and your getting good bareshaft flight indoors, 4 - 4" low profile nanners should be plenty of fletching.

Why switch to nanners if the shield cut works for you?

Im on a waiting list for the swing cut vario. I just love the look of them. I hope it gets in soon.

I've been using 4" Shields on my old arrows in the past (Gold Tips), but for my new hunting arrows (AD Trad-Lites), I wanted to go with a 5" or larger feather, which requires a new cutter... thus the vario.  And since I'm having to buy a new cutter anyway... perfect time to check out something new.

Besides... haven't you ever got bored of the same old thing after a while?   :D

All the best,
Glenn

Waiting list?  Are you kidding me?  If that is the case, I'll be buying something else.  I have been putting this off for too long, and need to get these arrows fletched up pronto.

I understand Glenn.  Hope you find what you like.  Hi or low, 5 inches is enough to stabilize all but the largest broadheads.  Good luck.

Burn'em to whatever shape or length you want...just an option!

Dennis,
Thanks - I won't see it until tomorrow though - I'm at home, and I had sent that from my work email.  Thanks!  Looking forward to ordering tomorrow if possible.

SOS,
Tried the burner - didn't like it.  Thanks for the suggestion though.  I appreciate the input.

I use the swing in a 4 inch 4 fletch configuration and they work great even with the Magnus1 broadhead.
