Just returned home from the Harrisburg, PA Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show.  To my good fortune there was actually a trad bowyer there...Rick Ellis of Striker Bows.  Got to shoot his takedown longbow and his handle forward recurve.  Really nice bows and a nice guy too.  Bows shot very tight groups with nice smooth draws and outstanding craftsmanship.  Just wanted to get the word out to any PA or other guys considering going to the show.  :archer:

Rick is a great guy and makes a great bow!!  Good to see he is getting out and doing some shows that are not just traditional.  The is a good thing for our sport!!

I was planning on going tomorrow, but a hurt shoulder is forcing me to go to the orthopaedic (sp?) surgeon tomorrow.  Will get out there Tues or Thurs though, probably not shooting too many bows...Mike

Rick and his wife are some of the most geniune folks you'll ever meet. He's huge supporter of traditional archery and attends numerous non-traditional shows each year. Makes a darn nice bow too.
