I just put some on my Black Douglas and must be honest they made a huge diff to the noise, Ive tried the rubber legs and fur and these seem to be the best so far. I put some pads under the string as well.
they dont look as good as fur but what else can I do? Hate a bow clattering in my ears...

I use em. Sometimes I hide em under lamma hair.

I use them and I agree they make a big difference.  I never thought about hiding them inside a hush puppy, have to give it a try.

I use them on an endless loop string but sometimes the flemish twist will cut them in half after shooting them for awhile.

When placed correctly they do a nice job.

I have heard that they dont last that long so will have to see.
Should I move them up and down to see if it makes a difference?

Havoc1... measure your string between points where it contacts the limb. Divide that by 4 and you have the perfect "starting" point for getting your Border dead quiet.

Adjusting your silencers from the 1/4 mark will give you the best they'll do.

If you find they don't last that long, try Hushpuppies(sponsor)for silencers and Bowhush (same outfit) as a string wrap where string touches recurve... they're great silencers and last forever.

I use the string leaches that are a simple cross, the other ones that are an "s" with a line through them will break off.  I do like Charlie and put them on the 1/4 points on the string.  They make them quiet on a longbow.  I haven't had a problem with the string cutting them in half.

I also put some serving on each side so they don't fall out when you unstring the bow.
