It does look somewhat like really light colored bocote, but I know that (except in rare instances) bocote is limited to only one CM dealer (me--lol).

I have a Checkmate Hunter II that is a sweetie to shoot,they make a nice bow

I know we maybe questioning the exact wood combinations, but don't doubt the fact that they really look good!  Whether zebra or bocote, makes a jam-up looking bow!

And to be honest, if I can come close to Chad in identifying the woods, I am quite proud of my self!  Now if I could only shoot and make strings as good as Chad!  Steve

Ok so I shot the bow.....


It's just totally awesome, super smooth, fast shooting too.

The setup was great out of the box (GM Archery set it up with string, nock and silencers/limbpads as shown in my pictures)

It ended up being 55lbs and my draw but feels great and I can pull and hold it no problem.

I am 100% happy with it, I love it.
