Hi, I have a hackberry stave I'm roughing out and would like to know what technique for bending white wood has worked for you best.  May need to straighten my stave a little.  Have had some success w/ bending greased hickory over an open flame.  I don't know if hackberry will bend as easily w/ open flame.

Heat gun, make sure you oil the wood with vegetable oil real good first or it will scortch the wood.
