OK gonna try the new Carbon Express shafts and am wonderin what would be closest to get started. 250s or 350s?

Shootin 55#@27" w/a 28/5" arrow now (axis w/weight tubes). Which works fine. No reason to change just tryin new stuff    . Probably shoot 225 up front.

I think the 250s but wanted to see if I might be close with the people that have tried many shafts!

from my experience of working at a bow shop you should befine with 250s if there is any lack in spine put on bigger feathers like if you use 4" shield cut go with 5" and if you shoot hi back 5" Ive shot 150s out of my 58# at 27" and they were a little weak but not by much. good luck with the arrows.

I have been shooting LBs' in the 50 to 60# range and using 2117's and GT 5575's. Just recently dropped to 49#-54#  L/B and recurves and those 2117's and 5575 GT's no longer fit. The only way I can figure it is, I must have been living on the edge. Now using 2016's,2018's and 33/55 GT's.
Sure was a lot easier tuning them when I only needed 1 shaft and 2 or 3 differenjt points up front.

350's will be way too stiff....start out with the 250's....you'll still need at least 250grs. up front I would think.....what kind of bow?

You may sould shoot a 150 at that arrow length.

I'd agree on the 150s I think you may well need 200gn up front with those.

I agree on the 150's. With an arrow 28 to 28.5"s you will still need close to that 225 up front. I shoot the 150's cut to 29.5"s and draw 28.5"s and my bows are 54#s and 56#s at that draw and I need 175 up front for perfect flight. Actually they may be a tad stiff out of my new Schafer, I have to still tune the bow, which I will do indoors tonight. Shawn

150's for sure.  I shoot about 53# @26 and started out w/250's, I had to leave them cut a little long(28.5") w/200 grains up front and there still a little stiff.  Joe

I would also suggest the 150's.  350's are way over spined.  250's need to be left full length or close to full length.
