I moved my family to southern Colorado a few months ago. Great place to live and of course great hunting. Lot of snow this winter, I'm just waiting for the snow to melt enough to get the mountains to do some scouting and shead hunting. And maybe get out and meet some local trad shooters, if there are any around.

Beautiful pics! I'll see the Co. mts. this fall for the first time. I have never seen a bad pic from Co.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

Here are a few more... kind of a past time until the 6-8 feet of snow in the area I elk hunt is gone.

Wow! That is some great looking country.  I'd love to have Big horn sheep walking through my yard.  all I have here in K.C. is the neighbors dog taking a crap in my yard.

Hi David,

Nice pics.  I live over the other hill (Wolf Creek Pass) from you.  I just came in from cleaning off the foot of snow that fell the last couple of days from my driveway.  Just in time for the next foot or two later this weekend.  It's been a few years since we had a good snowy cold winter.  We definitely need the moisture.  Glad to hear you're enjoying life in southwest Colorado.  This afternoon I'm heading out to my work bench to work on some arrows for next summer and fall.  Have a great winter!

Stick horse and Slim, I havn't found a single trad shooter since I've been here, say the word, and we will get together and "sling some arras".
Matty, if you make it down this way, we'll do the same.

Dave,
You are one lucky guy, I used to live in Alamosa (Adams State College)and spent much time in the Del Norte-South fork area.  Very majestic and nice folks, someday I may return to southern Colorado.
