First of I apolligize for not telling the story,so here goes.
I was fortunite enough too shoot an 8ptr here in michigan on opening day of 2003,ohio's season diddent open till the first saturday of oct.
so after butchering my mich buck I headed to ohio with fresh tarsel glands in tow. After getting my camp all set up and hanging out it was time for the evening hunt. I put my climber on my back and into the woods I went as I was walking to my spot I came into some great fresh sign 150 yrds into the woods, white oaks dropping acorns everywhere and some fresh rubs so I found A tree and up I went. I placed those tarsel gland's out in front of me,After about 2hrs in stand here comes the buck down wind he totally caught me of guard he came right to those glands. It happend so fast he offered me A 15 yrd shot,at the shot I had to bend over and cant my bow almost 90 degrees. I hit him right where his back quarter meets his body I was sick to my stomach. So I snuck out of the woods A half hour after it happened went and talked it over with some friends, decided to let him lay all night.
Well it dident take  me my buddy seth and mike to find him he went about 150 yrds and piled up in a dead fall,I got lucky and hit the femoral artery.  So thanks to my bud seth for taking A great picture.

Great looking buck. Great decision to let him lay overnight.
