I have this bow but have no idea of its origin or value (if any).  Does anyone recognize this bow?  It is 58"...aluminum riser...double shelf...grip wrapped with alternating vinyl strips.  Limbs are round coming out of riser but taper on the back to flat going towards the tips.  Etched in the riser are the initials SR...what looks like an "E" below that and 46 lbs at 28".  Thanks for any info you can give me.

Cool bow! Looks like an oldie with the round limbs but post fiberglass, so maybe early 50's. Does it take down? Nice classic D tiller. No idea the maker or value but good find.

Man, I've seen one of these somewhere before! No idea who it's by, but I'd be very, very cautious of trying to draw it. The aluminium riser will be VERY brittle & stands a good chance of breaking up.
Are they also alloy limbs? Target recurves of this kind of style were popular in the late 50's through to the mid 60's (Especially over here) I've seen a few of those blow up in peoples faces before now, hence the warning! Flying aluminium is not good for you!

Found it! I was thinking of an old Grimes recurve I'd seen. The riser is remarkably similar.....

Does it have tubular fiberglass limbs?

Grimes. They made them with round and flat glass limbs and also with solid AL limbs.

Yep.Dangerous, but a nice archery momento. Don't string it or try to shoot it.   :campfire:

Streameaze comes to mind, made by Grimes, aluminum riser and tubular fiberglass limbs if memory serves.

Thanks for the info-- the limbs are fiberglass , green in color. The bow is in really good condition, now all I have to do is find room to hang another bow!!  Thanks again
