My three piece is a 58" and my one piece is a 56". both shoot great. The one piece is so light, that I am in awe that it is so fast. Suprises me every time.

I just got my new Pronghorn Series V foam core longbow from Herb yesterday. This Thing is sweet 0 stack super smooth and a great shooter. I will get some pics up soon. Anybody else had a chance to try one of these yet?

Can't wait to see the pics.  Mine will be sometime soon I hope.  I didn't go with the foam core, but bamboo instead.

Randy you are going to have to let me put a few arrows through that longbow. Congrats it looks great.

Randy:
Loan that thing to Jack and Sonny so they can get some blood on it while we are in Texas.  We will take care of it, might even let it ride in the front of the PU.

FerretWYO

If they want it they are welcome to break it in. make sure she wears her seat blet though lol.

Randy, I saw your bow at Herb's last week. Those pics don't do it justice. That is a sweet looking bow.

I have been super busy and just not had time to read all the threads, especially long ones like this one.  I'll just say I'm currently shooting a Pronghorn Take-Down and I've never shot a bow better.  Would love to buy another someday.

Someday I'd like to trace the lineage of my bow (which I call the 'Green Machine') as I believe it's had at least three previous owners but I will be the last.  64", 55#.  Great bow.

A green Pronghorn? I'd love to see that!

phil_des_bois

Are the limbs interchangeable, or do we need to send back the riser to Herb to get a new set of limbs ?
Thanks
Phil

Not sure if I have the credentials to post anything here due to the fact I only own one pronghorn (3 pc longbow).  This was my first bow that I bought brand new and had custom made for me.  I've always bought used from someone.  I was a little nervous about ordering up my first bow after speaking with Herb all my issues were put to rest.  He was AWESOME to work with and his craftsmanship is top notch.
I had dreams of only multiple bows from multiple bowyers but after shooting herb's theres no need.  I hope to buy more in the future or win the one he donates at the B.O.W. banquet here in a couple months.  Some of my trad friends have shot my bow, and even my wheelie buddies and they all love it.  Can't go wrong with a pronghorn.  Now I just have to see if it will lift my elk curse.

I have a green 62" three piece at 35#. Green glass and green dymond wood. Herb put it together a year or two ago when he was out of dymond in the more normal shades. It has also been called the green machine. I'll try to post some pics later.
Last time I checked there was a feret for sale in classifieds. It is in a topic called something like pronghorns and morrisons (another great bow) for sale

I,ve owned about A dozen of Herbs bows, just love em. The two I have kept and custom built with Zericote are a Ferret and 56" one piece short bow. Both bows are solid black, just look cool and shoot great! The solid glass Ferret limbs is THEE smothest recurve I've ever shot! Pete
