Thanks for the info Parrie Dog. I'll have to see if I have that issue. It would still be nice to see updated interviews on alot of these guys.

I have three with another on order.
Absolutely one of the finest gentlemen you will ever meet and a great bowyer. I can't say enough good things about Herb.

I would like one more three piece @ about 52#. He really makes a short bow preform.
Spring of '92 is his interview.

I have a 1-piece Pronghorn that Herb made for me 2 years ago. 51 pounds, 62", Bubinga & curley maple riser with red elm limbs.  Light in mass weight, a smooth and quiet bow.  Really like it.
The work praises the man.

Moooseran

Of the four that I had I settled on two as keepers. Great Bows and Herb is a true Gentleman.

Brent Rudolph

I have shot a Pronghorn and one of his 3-piece T/D longbows, and they are a reflection of the bowyer. Honest and hard working. Herb is one of the industry treasures.

I have a 3-pc. 64" 55# Pronghorn longbow and it shoots like a dream.  I've killed some very nice stuff with this 'Green Machine' the past three seasons.  I traded a one-piece Pronghorn straight up for it to John Turner-ID because I wanted to drop down in weight and I needed a take-down for a drop hunt in Alaska.  My old Pronghorn had taken a timber wolf and was my first custom longbow.  I miss the old bow, but I've never been a bow 'collector' and I shoot the lighter bow much better.  Herb's a good guy to work with.

I have never owned a Pronghorn or handled one. Everything about that bow appeals to me. Ever notice there is usually at least one animal killed with a Pronghorn in just about every issue of TBM?

Magyar

I own two, three piece takedowns.  A 60", 42# with Ash limbs and ash Dymondwood riser.  The other bow is a 62", 53# with red elm limbs and a walnut Dymondwood riser.  Herb builds what I consider is the best longbows you can find.

I have the distinct privilage of being able to set down and talk with Herb annually at the Colorado Bowhunters Association Jamboree in the mountains of Colorado during July.  A finer person you will never meet.

Shedrock, You'll love it! I have a 56" one piece and it's the lightest bow I have ever owned or shot. I hope to see it when you get it.

I have shot many bows and many have compared to Herbs bows. I own a three piece 55lbs at 29" and it shoots like a dream. And the man behind these bow is the real deal. I bought my first traditional bow from Herb and the input that he gave me was very helpful.

Sounds like he started a few people into trad

Draco,
It is true, Dave is my brother but since he is lefthanded I try to keep it a secret.  We have tried every bow out there and we are sold on Pronghorns.  Between my wife and I we only have six.  You will never find a nicer guy than Herb.

Dave Pagel

Younger, better looking, better shooting brother by the way!

Dave
