So fellas, who has placed and order or is even thinking of one of these new bows?

I've just ordered a new PLX takedown in KingWood (with the old LAG grip but) and the lads at BW go and do this!

A penny for your thoughts...

I ordered a PAX today.  It will be kingwood with the Asbell grip.

I chose this wood based on its density, not on the catalog cover photo.

It will be my first Widow, but after test driving a PTFX, I have no doubt I will love this bow.

How's the weather down under?  I'm slogging through 14 inches of snow up here in Washington state.

Well done Brett on your order. I've a PSAX in KingWood and I just love the colour, hence ordering a new longbow in the same.

As for the weather in Oz, well I'm stuck here in Iraq and due to fly out on the morrow. But from all accounts its wonderful, like any day in OZ!

Thinking real hard about a PAX, maybe 56", with Asbell grip.  Around 55 at 28".  Cocobolo with Yew limbs?  I recieved my PTFX, all Bacote this summer, and love that bow (took 3 deer this fall with it).  It is 58", but maybe next one will be shorter.  I shot a SAIII in 56" for years, and it worked well for me at my 27 1/2 draw.

Ordered my PA X in Bocote Wood in late December.
PA X 51# @ 28", with Asbell Grip. Hope it will arrive sometime in March, but lead time was 12-14 weeks. Never shot the PA, just know that it will be all that I want it to be an more. Irish, do you have any pics of your PTFX Bocote? Would love to see 'em if it is not too much trouble. Also, since every Bocote bow I've seen is a little different, are you happy with the way yours turned out? Any thoughts on Bocote? Thanks, Tripp

The PA is one of the best looking recurves Black Widow has ever made.  It's supposed to have the same manners as the PTF, which has a great rep.

I have a ptf and sa11 but that pa looks sweet and I love the one piece bows looks like I'll start saving...ED
Put some air under it.

The PSA's, PTF's and PA's are all essentially the same bow, just different variations in the risers.  Black Widow advertises they all have the same limb composition and geometry.
I've been shooting their 60" SA series for 11 years and it's been a heck of a bow.  Lots of meat for the pot.

I'm saving to pick up a PTFII - 56".  With the lightest mass weight of all 3 models and choosing the short limbs, I think it will be a heck of a treestand bow.

Not the best photos in the world, but I hope it helps.  I went to Nixa and picked out the veneers for the bow.

Al I shoot strickly longbows now but when I saw that Greybark PA on the cover of the Black Widow cataolg all I could say was WOOOFAAA! A PL with the old style LAG grip HMMMM. Now you have me thinking.I wonder how the PA would be with that new longbow style grip they offer?

Wldhorse

My next Widow will be a PTF@56. You can't beat these Black Widow bows for quality and service-I have four of them.  Yeah, I guess you get what you pay for,Enough said! Pete

I shot a couple PAs at Kzoo and really liked them. If I wasn't starting a remodel job on the kitchen I might have one on order.

I've really really enjoyed shooting and hunting with my TF-V. It still amazes what it will do and what I can do with it!  I'd show a pic of it but don't know how to post pics here.

Saw one out of tulip wood at the MO bowhunting deal thsi weekend- absolutely GORGEOUS.

Superb bows like all Widows. I own a PGA (exact same geometry). Beautiful, sweet shooter.
The only thing that saved me at the UBM over the weekend is that I already own one of these bows in Osage.
