All bets are off if the fletch tape is really realy old, or if it had been used and left unsealed.  After using Bohning fletch tape, I reseal it by wrapping well in Saran Wrap and removing as much trapped air as possible.

I have had them shift even in colder temps (but especially in hotter temps) if you put pressure on the feather for extended periods of time. It is simply one of the down-sides to the tape for me...the only other being it's not compatible with silicon based waterproofing. Neither of these are big enough to make me use anything else though, it's many benefits far out weigh it's two small shortcomings.

Anyone ever have a problem with the tape not sticking well over testers spray paint that's enamel with no other finish on top?

Papa

So is the general opinion that the fletch tape works well with a carbon arrow crested with a cap wrap?
