Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on making a back quiver out of deer hide. Ive made a couple back quivers out of cow leather. Is it the same as working with cow leather, or is there a difference.

Pictures would be nice.

Check out the how to section on here. I dont kow if deer hide will be sturdy enough for a back(open mouth) quiver. I think a plains quiver would be doable. You could also use the leather to cover something a bit stiffer....lightweight pvc, etc.
The one I made, I used cowhide, and dressed it up with deer hide fringe and strap. Good luck either way you go.
