I have my "new bow list" narrowed down to 4 and they are: Toelke Whip, Turkey Creek, Striker Stinger, and the Super Shrew.  If you own any or all of these, please give me a little insight as to their attributes or downfalls.  I am having a terrible time making up my mind.  I shoot 600 gr. Carbon Express 150's and draw 29" at 53#.  Much appreciated.

Don't know about the others but SHREWS are great bows.

Shoot them all...but out of the bunch you have listed you'll probably end up with a Shrew.

Have shot a Whip a bunch, very nice bow, had a older Shrew wasnt for me. Shot the Striker Stinger quite a bit, very quick and quiet. My pick would be the Whip.

i own 2 one longbow and one recurve shrews and love them! small fast stable accurate quiet the lot, if i had the cash i would order another        

I'm shooting a Turkey Creek right now and love it.  I have shot a Shrew a few times and liked it also.  If I thought a Shrew would make me shoot like JC, I'd buy one.

Not a similar grip in the bunch. It will all come down to which grip suits your style best as to which would be the best choice. All four bows will get the job done. If you like shorter or longer bows will have some bearing on your choice also.

The Stinger's grip fits me like a deer skin glove!  I love it.  I've never shot the other three you have listed, but they all have great reputations.

I have bought a lot of bows without being able to try them out first.  In your case I would get all the information I could off of the bowyer's web site, then call all of the bowyers and pick their brains.  I would then make a decision based on the information I received.  Buy the bow and adapt to it.

I haven't owned any of them but the Whip but have shot some. My preference of course is the Whip. The grip is different feel wise and function wise all things being equal (fits your hand when you shoot one). I think the few that have shot a Whip and prefer another bow did not have a grip that was close to fitting them. I have shot several of Dan's bows in stock that had WAY too narrow a throat and did not like the feel. I have a small hand and a large square web and my grip on my bow is quite different from a lot of what is out there for many to try. The most important thing is that a bow MUST fit you and Dan is one of the VERY BEST at making that happen. A custom ground grip doesn't mean that it fits you as well as it should.

I have a Super Shrew Deluxe. I love the way the grip sets in your hand every time, the forward handle makes it easy to point and swing and at 60" its a very nice brush bow, or blind, tree stand. Its about 5# to heavy for me so i dont shoot it much but when i do break it out it is just plain fun to shoot.

The Turkey Creek is my choice out of that group.Well out of about any other group too.  

The Stinger and the Shrew don't have similar grip styles?

i can tell you if you look at the striker stinger you wont be disapointed, its a fast bow, a beauty to look at, and shoots very nice , between my wife and me we own 3 stingers.

I can't speek of the rest but the Whip is a great shooting bow. I love the grip because it places your hand in the same position every time. The one I owned was very accurate and fast! It was about 10# to heavy for me or I would still have it. Just my two cents.

Do any of these bowyers have test drive bows?  If so you can't go wrong.

Doug over at Turkey Creek might send you a test drive bow.

Of those, I have owned a couple of Shrews.  One of the best longbows I have ever shot.  In fact, I am looking for another.

'Vermonster' nailed it - it's all in the grip!!

I currently own the Whip and T/C.  Dan absolutely nailed the grip - so grip wise the Whip is the best.  Also the quality of construction is unbelievable - second to none.

The grip on the T/C does not fit as well.  Construction is up to standard.  However there is something about that little bow that I love./  On paper the Whip should be the best. But in the hand I jsut love the T/C.

The Creek is very good value too.  I am not sure of your American prices and shipping and stuff - but you could probably get a T/C for the same price as a Savannah.  The two can't even be compared in the same breath.
