Do any of you have an opinion on this bow? Much appreciated.

carlr2s,
Starkman (TG member) has two of the Dwyer longbows. This afternoon he allowed me to shoot them both. One is 45 lb @ 28 and the other 51 @ 27. I am not an expert, but I really enjoyed shooting them. I found the lighter one to be sooo easy to shoot. Both weights were very smooth. No hand shock. The reason I am so interested is that I myself have a Dauntless on order. It's Dwyer's latest deflex/reflex bow. Cant wait to get it.

Lin, do you know which model you shot?

Carlr2s,
Yes, they both were the original longbows. Not the Defiant or Dauntless. The 51 lb was 64 inch and the 45 lb was 66 inch. He also has a Robertson Stick bow in 62 inch. I have a new Bear Montana in 45 @ 28. We shot all of them and I like the Dwyers the best. My Montana was close, but there was definitely some superiority in the Dwyers. The Robertson shot fast and hard, but was not quite as smooth. Again, I'm not a real expert on longbows, but you can bet I will be after I take my first animal:)      Lin

I have a  64-inch Dwyer longbow with bamboo limb laminations.  Extremely smooth and quite quick.  Workmanship is top notch as well.  Am considering getting a shorter Dauntless for blind hunting.

I have 2 longbows, both 64" one 56lbs and one is 65lbs. I killed 6 deer this year between the two bows including this buck. That being said, I am a big fan!
