Hello. My name is Chris, and I'm addicted to the JLMBH...

Soooo, if figured a good way to kill this agonizing wait all us guys who attend shawn's hunt have to face would be to post some pics of the ammo we'll be packing. I know I loved seeing all the different arrow/point choices while I was at last years hunt...

This is the kind of shaft I'm bringing. Frugel, with a capital CHEAP. Ramin dowel shaft, couple coats of wipe-on poly, and some simple but effective pistol casing & wingnut blunts. Even self-nocked to cut down on the cost of thos expensive plastic nocks...  :bigsmyl:
Way I see it, what shafts aren't lost to the snow will fall to that steel. Figure I shouldn't put too much time and effort into each shaft. Some will be capped, but it'll be pretty simple and purely for visabilities sake...

Even the feather's were made to appease my penny-pinching sense of cheapness...

If ya' look close, you can see how I've been splicing together scrap feather pieces to form hunting-sized fletches...

Stone Knife

My arrows will vary from nice to junkers, with a variety of points, field tips for targets only.

I can't post pictures but you can bet your beaver balls that I'm gonna have lots of arras to lose in the snow! When it comes time to shoot at the steel target I'll just use Skippers pink ones.   :D

This gets better every year!
