After reading through other topics and my own I have narrowed it down to a liberty chief by Allen boice or a toelke whip (both one piece).

I'd like some opinions regarding mainly:

noise (I can't stand a noisy bow).

Craftsmanship: I'm very meticulous especially when it comes to overall symmetry, finish, riser fade outs into limbs, gluelines and limb tips.

Grip type: I'm familiar with Toelke's but not Boice's, any similarities?

Thanks again gang!

Can't say anything about the liberty, but Dan's craftsmanship is impeccable. They are also whisper quiet, fast and dead in the hand.

Have/had both. BOTH are awesome. No wrong choice here.
The whip with the locator grip is a very consistent grip and feels great to both. His classic grip would be more similar to the chiefs.
I'd say the chief was a hair quieter but I was shooting a heavier arrow and it carried a thicker string with wool puffs.
Fit and finish is beyond excellent on both.
I know this isn't helping you but I honestly can't say a single negative about either.  All I can say is that if you've narrowed your choice to these two you have great taste in bows!

It's one of those decisions I'm lucky to have to make!  Anyone know email info for Allen boice? Can't seem to find it on his web site.  Also, what is his turn around time on custom orders?

I know every bow can be an individual....but I just cannot imagine a bow being more quiet then my Whip. Workmanship and lines are absolutely perfect. Beautiful epoxy finish to boot.

I have shot both and they both perform very well. I own a Toelke Whip.

Never shot a Whip but I am very happy with my 50@28" 64" Chief. I think I got mine in about two months.
A sweet shooter for sure. I am thinking about ordering a heavier one. Mine is all myrtle.

Tuning my new Whip HS this morning and I did find one "negative" to say...  You're going to have to learn your arrow trajectories all over again!  This bow really sends them!

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

The profiles are very similar, and they both do good work.  Think you would be satisfied with either.  Haven't shot a Whip, but I really like my Liberty chief.

Allen recently sent me a 64" 50@28  beautiful chief to try out. Absolutely love the throat on his grips! Will be getting him to build me a 62" maybe u can try before you buy! Good luck

I have had both. Both are great bows as are both bowyers. Tough decision.

Hello, I have had both and prefer the Liberty bow. It just shot better for me. Good luck.

One bow. One arrow. My ideal.

Any of Allen's bow will delight you.  I have his English and Chief Elite.  They are working works of the bowyer's art.  Cannot compare to the whip.
