It seems like every time I go to the arhcery shop I get into some kind of trouble     :D  . I wasn't planning on it but I bought a longbow today. Its an internature viper longbow and I have to say it is a sweet bow for under 200$. The specs are printed on it and it looks a little to much like a production bow to me so I was wondering if I could  sand of the writing without damaging the bow. Thanks-Scott

Find some 600 grit wet\\dry paper and carefully sand it wet untill gone and repolish with rubbing condpound......

Rubbing compound?? So sanding won't hurt the bow or make a hinge. I'm new to glass bows so please forgive my incompetence. Would I have to put a finish on it or something like that?-Scott

I have refinished a couple of the Internature Vipers a dealer sold me that where slightly damaged in transit for $50.00 each . The bows I refinished had streaky clear glass but the refinish made them look better. I rubbed them back with progressivly finer grades of wet and dry starting with 600 grit and finishing with 1000 grit . While I was at it I reprofiled the the limbs as the tips are quite chunky , retillered the bows 5 pound lighter then rubbed in some True Oil . Now 2 of my mates of expensive looking $50.00 bows . regards Jacko

1000 grit paper is about as abrasive as a pair of silk panties- you would have to sand a month to do damage to the glass.....
