I recently picked up a 2nd had ******** trident II the 17" riser with short limbs and 40lb @ 28".  I have always been a hard core traditional bow guy and didn't care for the modern looking bows,  I gotta say after shooting this bow for a couple weeks now I was wrong!  This is the sweetest shooter I have the 40lbs feels like 30, it's very quiet, as fast as anything I have.  I had some trouble getting the arrows tuned but now they fly like darts and I feel like I can't miss out to 30 yeards.  I guess what I am saying is if you get a chance to check out some of these bows don't turn away just because they don't look traditional, you too may get a big surprise!

I've been thinking of giving an ILF setup a whirl. Don't hear a lot of negatives about them.

I found mine to be noisy until I put a layer of foaming under each limb and padded the limb tips. Now it's dead quiet.

The big thing with ILF is to buy limbs based upon your draw length and then go for riser length.
I first fell into the "long is better" idea.
Not so far as performance. I draw 28" and found that unless I shoot a short riser, mediums or long limbs do not uncurl fully so my speed suffers.
I recently shot both mediums and shorts rom the same 19" riser.  Although 4# lighter, the shorts shot 3 fps aster than the mediums
