I've had a Kanati for several years and I can't find one I would trade it for. I wish I could clone the one I have!

If you can find an Abbott, you might enjoy it. They are really sweet shooters. Unfortunately they are no longer made, but you might find one in the classifieds.

if your ordering new, most bowyers are at least 6 months and some a year or even longer. Dan can have you a new one at your specs in around a month. If that matters to you. Call him and you'll buy from him. Great guy and great bowyer. Grips are unbelievable. I hope to find a used chinook or whip end of the summer.

The Longhorn by Jim Belcher is an under the radar sweet shooter. Worth a look for sure.
For three piece take a look at Legends bows out of California. Great shooters!

Superior or Baraga from Northern Mist. Hands down the best built out there.

Pronghorn is a good one...think I'll go shoot mine now. He should be about four weeks out.

There's a reason some bowyers have longer lead times than others. It's just the business. If they're a full time bowyer with a longer build time, it's because the product is in demand and better.

I picked up a used Sky Trophy Hunter longbow this past winter.  amo 66",   41# @28" and 46-47# @ my ~30" draw length (perfect for my needs).

Bubinga riser, maple limbs,  black glass,  slight D/R.  Smooth drawing, and points very nicely. It is very quick, quiet, and I don't notice any hand shock.  Bowyer: Jim Belcher.  The bow is made on a form Earl Hoyt Jr. designed/made.  COST: New ~ $350.

My Sky Trophy Hunter was made about 2 years ago. I have to report that I am VERY happy with this bow.  It is a HIGH VALUE product.

Sky makes a more highly deflex/reflex longbow called the Longhorn.
