Already have a hunt planned and paid for you neck of the woods so nothing to trade. But thats a coincidence, I just spent 2 hours looking at places for sale in Crook County. That affordable place bordering public land just doesn't exist. It's just a fantasy anyhow.
But what a place to live!  You are lucky!
I have hunted there about 10 times. I'm sure there are traditional bow hunters there but I never never saw or heard of anyone using traditional equipment.

We just sold part of  our ranch that bordered the national forest. I do know of a place with 100 acres within 1 mile of forest that has about 100 acres of alpaha with the river going thru it. house is brand new with the perfect view. about 50 to 100 deer a night feeds and waters there

Good chance I'll be in the neighborhood in about two years.

Tim, I've been to your area3 times turkey hunting. The black hills are my favorite place of all places I've been to. You are fortunate to live there. I could move there and NEVER look back. I've been through Alva. Saw a couple gobblers standing in a front yard. As I recall the sign said population 40. I wish I had a trade for you. I would love to get back out there. Never saw so many deer anywhere. And the turkeys........
I hope you get the trade you're after. Best, Jim

I'd trade a Blacktail hunt for a whitetail hunt.
