Shot the really heavy stuff (70-100#) for years. Big bows are fun! The biggest draw back though was that I like to shoot a lot and those bows would wear me down FAST. I'd shoot for an hour or two every day, every week. Well, that wasn't a good idea. It wore me down, lead to TP, and I never killed a dang thing because I couldn't hit them.

These days I'm having a lot of fun/killing a lot more game with the much lighter rigs (40-50#), and don't have issues shooting for hours on end, but I could have done the heavy bows MUCH better.

If I did it again, I'd have a lighter bow for plinking/targets and form, a much heavier bow for strength training, and a couple medium bows for hunting. Hind sight is always 20/20!
