I know this has been hashed over before, but new tech is ongoing, so here we go!

I need a simple cam, easy programming, with good response time, decent pics, not worried about video, and a decent price, say under $150....

Help me out!

My Coverts are 4 years old I think, and are failing at a rapid rate the last couple months...
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I like browning dark ops.  I bought 2 about 3 years ago but one did take a dump this year.  Easiest cam to set up.  I bought 2 more a few months ago for $110.  Bought 1 for a friend as a gift for $90 and free shipping from ****.  Just took a fast look and found 1 on **** for $99.95 and free shipping.

I've got 5 or 6 Bushnell Trophy cams out for several years and they have been doing great. I bought a Browning this fall and I like it also. Great battery life on all of these.

Kenny,

The wife just gave me a Browning black ops for Xmas. Been using it over the past couple weeks. HD video, great trigger speed and great clarity. Easy to use and good battery life. I think she paid $110. 1 year warranty. Great cam for the money. Check out the reviews.

I'd suggest Wildgame Innovations since I'm very happy with mine, but after going online and reading some reviews, it seems that people are not very happy with the newer models.

I've been very pleased with the Bushnell as well. Comes in right around 130-150 on sale.

I like the Brownings as well.  Moultrie seems well thought of, but I've never used one.  Not impressed with WGI, but I only have the cheaper models.

I have some Browning Strike Force's out this year and have been very happy with them. I wouldn't buy a Cuddeback again on a bet. I like to have some cameras that have a white flash, especially on trails leading to my food plot. If I am where I can see the flash it will let me know something is coming. The problem I have with Cuddeback is sometimes the camera will flash and there is no picture, even if I walk in front of the camera on the way back home. I learned about the Browning Strike Force from Uncle Barry.

Another vote for the Bushnell Trophy Cam.

I don't have any of the newer 12mp cams, but I have two of the older 8mps.  This is the third or fourth year running them, and are by far my most consistent/reliable cams I have had to date.  And battery life is excellent.  I haven't done an exact count, but Id say around 5000 pics on 8AA batteries with a lot of those being nighttime.

I have been told by others to stay away from the trophy cams that have a store or sponsers name on the packaging.  That these cams are not as reliable.  Not sure if they use cheaper parts to reduce cost on large chain purchases or what?

I've been using the moultrie A5 cams for 4 years now. I have 10 of them and I'm happy with their performance.

They run about 60 bucks.

Here are some very good sale prices for trail cameras.  The Moultrie and Browningis are very nice cameras.  I would stay away from the Bushnell Trophy Cam they are junk. Every one I have bought have not lasted a year.
