I had an Evening Stand Brown pullover before- should have never gotten rid of it! Now I'm in the market for a new Asbell and want someone to convince me as to whether to get another ESB or switch to Montana Magic. Mainly for Whitetails in WI. I know it comes down to preference, so let's just have fun with this!

You know what they say about opinions,.....but for me Early Season Brown is my favorite Asbell pattern. Although, I do like the Montana Magic too.

Thanks for the reply! Yes- all opinions welcome!

I like them both, but would get a Montana Magic right now as they are on sale.

ESB and Timber Ghost are my favorites.  The Montana Magic does look nice though, I would go with ESB of the two you mentioned.  Just wish the patterns were available in the blanket weight.  I have the ESB and TG in the extra heavy weight and they are great.  Although I am eyeing that new pullover the Northwoods Anorak.  That may be my next purchase.

Evening Stand Brown & Evening Stand Green are my favorites...

I have a bunch of Asbell wool and Montana Magic is my hands down favorite for treestands.  I used it a lot this fall and can't tell you how many times I had deer look right up at me and then turn away unconcerned.  Of course,  many of the patterns might have produced the same result - Evening Stand Brown or Green and Timber Ghost are great as well,  but MM is my all time favorite.

I too have several of them, but the Montana Magic is my current favorite, as well as the half zip pullover. Can't go wrong with any of Teresa's creations.

You can never go wrong with any of the Asbell wool or products. Have a Timber Ghost pullover, Evening Stand Green vest and a Evening Stand Brown hand warmer. Love them all and never been spotted by deer or turkey's. Now looking at the Montana Magic has me wanting to add another item. Thanks

Good morning and Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks for the replies - I ordered the Montana Magic. Someday I'll get another ESB, but for now, MM is calling my name! Looking forward to the new Pathfinder style too.

Cant go wrong with any of the asbell wool! I have a few different pieces.I love the pathfinder! May have to get a new on in Montana magic now. Lol

Boy oh boy that's a tough choice!!! That Montana magic will probably blend in with fall leaves real well. The ESB worked in Michigan for me. At close range on the ground to boot. Don't overlook Timberghost though. I think that might be the best with the large varying shades. Almost like predator camo. All that grey tree action you guys have in the Midwest, I'd probably go Timberghost. The light color in TG isn't really white, it's more like a cream up close.

I'd get the ESB here. I usually try and find a hemlock or pine to climb into. I wish the cedar swamp plaid came in extra heavy weight.
The Montana Magic would be great here for fall.
I haven't been able to hunt much lately until all the leaves are down.

Well, the blessed postman stopped by with a package from MI. Couldn't be happier with the Asbell Pathfinder. The Montana Magic looks even better in person in my opinion. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate!
