The Nocking Point used to be 15 miles from me until Mike retired and sold the business to Terry.
Feathers-N-Wood is a small family owned traditional archery supply business in NE Kansas  that was started last year. Very nice folks and they do mail order as well as having a trailer "shop".
There is a nice indoor archery range in north Lawrence. Mostly compound but they did have a pretty good selection on traditional gear the last time I was there.

With Black Dog closed there is nothing in West Michigan so I do most of my buying at Trad shops on wheels at 4 of the best trad shoots in the state.

Nothing near me in upstate NY that I am aware of. Tollgate Traditions was a great archery shop about an hour drive from me, but they moved about 3 years ago.

We don't have a Traditional Archery shop per say in central North Carolina, but I am not sure if we need one.

We have a membership rich and active club that anything you may want can be procured. It is unbelievable the talent pool we have in our club. Besides, a LOCAL traditional archery business would probably not survive. Like a local bowyer and arrow maker told me. " if you want to make a million dollars in traditional archery, then invest two million"....you get the point.

"The Footed Shaft"- Rochester, Minnesota. About a 2 1/2 hour drive, but that's okay. Great people!
They are the closest for me too, about an hour and a half from here. I don't get up there nearly enough though.

Raptor Archery in Hood River Oregon is two hours for me. Very close. Scott.

Although we are primarily a manufacturer of bow quivers and other leather items, EFA also has a storefront and carries a variety of bows, arrows, and other items. We also shoot inside on a regular basis (Tuesday and sometimes Thursday night).

The reason that traditional archery is not as profitable as cable archery is that so many of us like to make our own equipment. Most of the trad archers that I know have made their own bows and arrows. How many do you know that have built their own compound bow from scratch?

I am afraid that it is the internet for me.  I would open a shop but I am afraid that it would be a huge money loser.

What were the lyrics of that song way back when, "You never know what you got 'till it's gone"?

We had a trad shop not far from the house and I tried to do all my shopping there. Now I'm an on-line guy. We have Lost Nation Archery here in Michigan and they treat their customers very well, but it's not the same as walking in and touching the article before buying.

Yep it's sad that Trad shops are not as readily available as in years past.  Sign of the times I'm afraid.

Between the internet and how many like to build their own and how much more popular the "easy" way it is into bowhunting I figured shops like we have here were few.

That being said there seem to be a handful still around which is good.  Now I wonder how many traveling shops there are like the Nocking Point and others mentioned?

Thanks for your input!

When I started shooting back in the early 70's, they all did. Now, none that I am aware of.

Not exactly in any of your neighborhoods, but still. TradBow is a small shop about 2,5 hours drive from where I live. He's all about trad, and is a really great guy.

I also hung out at black dog here in MI almost daily. Tom and Ryan were pretty much my mentors getting me  hard into traditional archery. I used to bug them with a million questions and they always helped. Sad to see them close. Not enough interest around here.

Various bows, but if you see me shooting, it's probably a Toelke in my hand!

I live in Tallahassee, FL and drive to Albany, GA every other week for work.  I frequently stop by Big Jims to shop for my archery needs.  Great folks to do business with!
