I have a modern Bear TD and a GreenStripe. When I put the modern limbs on the Greenstripe it is very loud compared to the modern Bear TD.

Im assuming the older riser is slightly different. Is there a bowyer that will fit limbs to a Bear riser?

Lots of stuff you can do to fit them yourself.  If they're loose, put a piece of duct tape on the limb bed channels or the limb beds.  That usually does the trick.  Or, if they're really loose, sometimes a small felt pad 1/16 of an inch thick on top or bottom of the limbs near the butt and or on the butt themselves will tighten things up.

Bear has been makingTD limbs for about 50 years.  A lot of different folks have been involved in the process.  The limbs are close, but they're not all the same.  Haven't found a set yet that I couldn't make work with any age riser.  Just have to tinker a bit.

My old bear minuteman was a little noisy but after I put a layer of moleskin on the socket it made it a lot nicer to shoot.

I have heard of people putting a bit of string wax in the pocket as well, that seems messy to me though.

I'm sure you've tried this but I had a Supreme for a while. When I first strung it up it was quite noises. I changed the brace height and that fixed it.

Mine is the quietest bow I have B riser #1 limbs from Rose Oak 60# with a A.S. String, 660 grs arrow.

I tried all the above and then sum. Had success the first time getting rid of D-97 FF string material. Then I read a guy cut pieces of plastic sandwich bags a put between limb and bracket. That worked! But for loose fitting limbs I found an other "trick" that works for me. I use thin pieces of sheet foam. I read about it here I believe. I had a bunch left over from packing dishes from a move. Works great, fills any gaps, cheap and noises are gone.
