What is it with having several bow's ?
How many do you really need ?
Well I guess you need a good hunting bow .
A nice bow for 3D shoot's .
One for stumpin' .
Well , you might need a short one for blind hunting turkey .
But really ....
Yeah , that really perdy one with the awesome looking wood .....

Never mind ...

What an addictive hobby .

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I don't "need" any, but I sure "want" a few.

Graps.  I need a bow for every situation you mentioned.  But you forgot about backups.  I also need a back-up for every one of those.  Never can tell when you might need it.

Also, need to be testing out a few more to determine whether they might replace the go-to or back up bows in each situation.  And, of course, there are always a few lying around that didn't make the cut but I haven't had the time to sell yet.

All in all, I'd say a dozen to 20 bows is about the right number for the average traditional shooter/bowhunter, though I certainly wouldn't begrudge a person for experimenting with a few more.   :goldtooth:

Archery isn't something I do, it's who I am!
The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

Well , what brought this on is , I got three custom bows in less than a year .
Fortunately my wife understands .
Oh , she got another one herself .

I'm with BAK, it's not a matter of need it's a matter of want!

Just this ONE last one, then thats it.... unless I find one I think might be better...lol!

I am in the process of parting with several of my heavier bows again. It is something that I need to be patient about, finding the right person that will use it, that it fits and by also avoiding those that say they want and need, but don't have the funds with the reason they don't have the funds is because they are making payments on a $30K Harley that takes precedence over his family.  Also, there is always the problem of greedy guys just wanting my stuff for free.

I never thought of it as a need, just another.     One less than the number of days in a month, that way I can sell one and buy another.
