I'm looking into "The Breed" from Fox Archery and was wondering what people think about the bow?  Emailed the company and got a catalog and was informed that they will be in K-zoo Michigan for the expo.  Can't wait for that weekend...going to handle and shoot a bunch.

If you have one let me know what you like and don't like and please post pic's if you have them.

Thanks,

Josh

I picked one up second hand at a shoot this summer. I have been shooting nothing else since. It is 54" 54#@28". It is light, does not stack at 29", and puts the arrows right where I want (when I do my part)I don't think you will be disappointed. It has great classic 50's styling.

Sounds nice...do you have some pictures?  Do you notice any pinch at that length?  I'm going to get a longer one if I do indeed get one...probably going to be the 60" model and would like it to be a 2 piece model.

I think the riser is Myrtle with a dark wood double stripe. I don't get any pinch either. I'd love to have a two piece.

I killed my Alberta  Moose this past season and a Quebec/ Labrador Caribou two years prior with a 50 lb ( 46 at my draw) breed 2 pc takedown. Its a super bow and Ron King is a great guy to work with. you wont find a better bowyer to with with.

I have got 2 of them (75#@28 and 80#@28)...very powerful and silentful bows with a very high speed level...but not easy to draw as my silvertips or widows...the TD mount add some extra weight quite pleasant for steadyness, comfort and forgiveness...an excellent bow.

I shoot nothing else and consider Ron a friend. Cant endorse these highly enough. I'll try to post you some pics when I get home from Christmas vacation.

Love mine, it has been my go-to bow for the last two seasons.  I've never shot a bad bow from Fox and Ron King is a great guy to deal with.

Ron builds an excellant bow.  You would be very happy with one.  I have shot both the 1pc and 2pc Breeds.  Both shoot great.  I have shot the 2pc with a sleeve system and one with the bow bolt.  The only difference between the 2 is the sleeve adds some wieght.
Besides Ron and Debbie are great people to deal with.

Thanks for all the replies, can't wait to see them at the Expo in Jan. in Michigan.  Going to look at several different one piece models and takedown versions.  Should be a good time.

I have 4 of them and one on the way. For me they are the best bow I have ever shot.

X2...very nice looking bows, are they all one piece models?

What weight and overall length are they?  What brace height do you shot yours at?

So many questions...sorry.  I think I'm going to have a problem with this traditional thing...easy to buy one since they all look so nice.  So many wood combinations and riser configurations to choose from.

Thanks again for sharing!

They are all different wood combinations. 57 lbs at 28 inches.  They are 62 inches long.  (that is the longest he makes them) They like 7.25 for the brace, and 5/8 for the nocking point.  They shoot very well for me.

I had a chance to shoot one this summer at a Trad Shoot, very very nice bows, exceptional workmanship...
