Thanksgiving started just like it has for the last 5 years. Hike to my stand and hunt til noon. Go home and eat amazing food. This year i got a whim and took my climber and headed in the dark to find a tree. I found a group of trees in the area i wanted and climbed up. Making considerable noise. Breaking off lots of branches to get set. As i was doing this i grunted a few times and settled in for a 5 hour sit. Not 5 minutes later this dude came cruising by. He headed right for me and passed 10 yards to my north. I drew and shot and knew he was done. A treeshark through both lungs had him down quick. The blood trail and recovery were gruesome. Had to do lots of clean up for the photos.
