All,

Looking for ideas for a new arm guard and wanted to get thoughts from everyone.  I have an arm guard but my complaint is that it is too long and restricts movement and is uncomfortable around my wrist.  I would like a leather guard but am open to almost anything.

I bought a leather guard form Big Jim, and it has worked very well for me.

Check out the Latigo Hunter Armguard from Mike's Archery Leather. He's a sponser here.
Do not follow where the path may lead.  Go, instead, where there is no path and leave a trail.

Bought one from RMSG. Not too big. Maybe what you are looking for. Not too expensive either.

And here I'm thinking about a longer one with a chest plate to get my clothing out of the way.  I was catching the chest pocket cover of my flannel shirt yesterday, sending my arrows several inches left.

I second Mike's Archery Leather. I really do not like to wear one but when I wear long sleeves it becomes necessary.

I bought a traditional only arm guard,from 3 Rivers for $26.50
The picture does it no justice  I was really surprised how thick it was and how nice it was this is a high quality leather arm
guard. The elastic cord and hook system are really easy to put on and take off. Way better than any buckle system.  I did add a slip barrel to mine to make it easier to adjust from going  from a t-shirt to a heavy jacket. If you want a nice leather arm guard but don't want to spend rediculous amount of money. This is a great choice

Dwyer Bows sells some nice ones.

Everyone in our family finds the fit, strength, looks, and break-in is great.

I have used a ton over the last few years and settled on a buffalo hide arm guard from American leathers. It's very comfortable and works well. Only downside is you sweat more under it during warmer days. Quality is excellent though.

www.shriverarmguards.com   Jerry makes a nice armguard and makes a shorter one if you ask.
