Is there anybody on here that routinely uses a bike to hunt with and has a bow holder set up on it?  If so, would you mind sharing some pics or a description of your setup?  Thanks.

I use the same as stick hunter..works great! Think I got it from basspro.

I just found some of them on basspro.  They look pretty decent for the price.

Just remember your bow depending how long it is, will stick out from side to side. I only use it when I'm on Federal & state land where theirs gravel roads to ride on.

My main use for it will be riding on field roads on the private where I hunt, and possibly service roads in the future on public.  Bow length shouldn't be an issue.  If I have to ride a narrow path I'll probably just break the bow down and transport it in its case attached to my lone wolf.

Check online at walmart..they probably have a better price.

Bowtote, been using it several years when riding 4 wheeler or bicycle to stand. Sling goes over one shoulder and head and bow basically is in my lap.

there is a hunting company that is producing a "hunting bike". the bike is called Rambo. you can purchase a bow holder for it. mostly shows compounds, but have seen recurves on it to. holds the bow pointed up and mounts behind the rider. never used one but looks pretty cool.

This is the whole reason I use a take-down bow.  Strip it down, stuff it into a pack & ride away.  Same setup for my rifle when I use that.

Alternatively, you can also get a bike trailer.  But that's a bit of extra weight to haul if you have hills.  But if you have some time, they can be pretty cheap ($40) on craigslist.  Doubles as a game cart on the way out if you're lucky.

The bike Sunshine mentioned is a Cogburn Fat Bike - check out thier bow holder. It's a good set up. I had a up close look at one awhile back.

I have the handle extensions on my mountain bike and i just end up using that. My bow is 20 + years old and i am not going to loose sleep over some scuffing, so this works for me.  I am able to keep some sort of grip on the string and still manage the brakes.  I use this on closed roads that have some width, trails would require something different - take downs.

 

I strapped a 4" pvc tube to the frame of my bike and would unstring my bow and put it in there.  It was too heavy though.

Now I just use a back quiver and wedge my strung bow under my arm and through the back quiver strap.  Works surprisingly well.

I sure want a 2 piece bow for just this reason.

Pinky, that is an awesome setup!

The trailer worked Great.  I have had it for a couple of years but finally got it fully assembled,  hitched and used it for the first time.  I peddled and pushed half and half on the way in, about 6 miles.  I was hoping to be pushing it out with some meat but that didn't happen.  The trip out was easy and fast.  
I have had the bike and the bow back on several of the closed roads that we have around here.  The bike is nice way to get back in a little further.  I think a little of the Pipe insulating foam on the bike frame (head tube) would save the bow riser a little wear (i will have to do that).
