I would find a way to hunt or at least get out and enjoy the woods. As much as I love trad hunting there are other ways to bring home venison.
This stuff ain't no rocket surgery science!

Bad luck, indeed. I hope you heal well. Good luck.

Sorry to hear this Tim......hope you heal up quick.
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

I did a simular thing years ago now. Broke it in 4 places. Doc put me in an old fashion plaster cast for 6 weeks. What a bummer, could not shoot for 3 months but i did the thepary and have not had any issues since.

Bvas

Man, what a bummer.
I'm sure you'll find a way to get out and enjoy the woods. I know if it were me, it would be a perfect excuse to warm up the 22 and fill the fryin pan with some of the 1000 squirrels that have invaded the woods I hunt.

Sorry to hear this.  Back in 2001 I took my fall.  Missed the whole season.  Don't rush recovery and hunt smarter in the future.

Glad it was not worse than it was. I enjoy using a video camera sometimes as much as the shooting. It is fun to see what wildlife you can video.
