Got out to the woods before daylight this morn. After sitting in a blind for a few hours and not seeing anything. I decided to still hunt my way back to the truck.Roughly 30 minutes later I catch movement out of the corner of my eye on my right . Watched a nice 6 pointer working a rub and then start to slowly walk in a line that if I continue  I'll intercept him at a blown down tree.Which would give me an easy 10 -15 yard shot I get to the tree and I'm waiting on him to clear it....He decided to not continue the route he was taking. He just calmly turned and went away from me never giving a clear shot.He never acted spooked or alerted just calmly changed directions...way he was acting I think he was tailing a doe.Seemed very into what he was doing like on a mission.I tried looping around to see if could get another chance, but lost sight of him going into a thicket area and didn't wanna spook him. Decided to wait a bit to see if he came back through... hear some rustling ...I'm thinking yeah gonna get ya this time.....2 turkey come strutting in bout 10 yards away. They were way cool to see so close. Been a rough couple weeks of not seeing anything and to stalk that close with out spooking the buck at least boosts my confidence.

Sounds like a nice hunt .

Good hunt for sure! You proved to your self you can stalk without spooking game, wish i could do that.
