I get pretty bored to shoot at targets all day, I live in the middle of Haleiwa village, being a one road town I'm pretty lucky to have a bit of undeveloped woods behind my house, and my neiborough on one side is the court house that has quite a big undeveloped open property too, so every time I go out back to shoot, I nock a blunt and try to stalk a wild roster or a dove, ask anybody that has being here, the spotted dove is truly wary, you can drive up to them pretty close but if you're on foot and they see you anywhere within 50 yards they are gone, same with the wild roosters.

It is really fun, I manage to attempt a couple of stalks every day, and probably a shot every 2 weeks                :bigsmyl:          :bigsmyl:

some thimes I practice rally long shots too, and that's good fun as well.

I hit some roosters, but not being able to use broadheads ( don't want to have chickens run around town with an arrow sticking out of them      :bigsmyl:    )I never was able to kill one yet with a blunt, but I killed several doves.

What kind of head is that?  Could you post or PM me some closer pics of it?

Thanks

Its not about the weapon used, its about the adventure involved.

NorthShoreLB

John, that's the great Tarantula   :bigsmyl:   , make a search and there's a couple of good threads about it

Are they the same kind of good-eating as the doves we've got back here?

Nice shooting and way cool bows. Do you foot your own arrows? I love looking at your bows.
Merry Christmas and I hope you get the Christmas rooster for dinner.

Nice shooting Manny.  I saw a couple of the wild roosters when I was on vacation there in 82.  I thought they were tame until someone told me otherwise.

Dennis

You guys do need some snow.

Billy

I use tarantulas.  I have killed several dove with one out of my longbow.  Either they do massive carnage if they are an off center hit, or if you hit a dove dead on it is just instant death, no carnage.   Its really interesting to walk up on a stone dead bird without a drop of blood anywhere.

Great head
