No not really, just on public land.
With no doe tags for my area of hunt I said I'd take the first good chance at a legal buck. Well this is the guy that gave me that chance.
I heard him splashing through the wet area as he made his way through the funnel and when he got within 10 yards of  to my shooting area he smelled my doe pee and turned and walked away. He feed in some marsh grass about 40 yards away for about 10 minutes then decided to turn and come back in.
He was as calm as could be and walking slow but steady with his head down when i took the shot.
The shot was one of my best shots, shot looked great, and I got his heart. 17 yard shot.

My bow was a 48# Great Northern bushbow, cedar arrow, and VPA 160 grain 3 blade head.

The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

That's awesome.  I have such a love hate relationship with public land in my area.  Good for you!
