The wool sweater I wear hunting, I just through in thw washer with cold water and scent free soap. After the spin cycle, it's nearly dry. My wife has a clothes drying rack. I lay the sweater on top and it's dry in no time. Wool seems to dry pretty quickly.

My wool coat and bibs haven't been in the wash yet, but I'll probably do the same with them. Otherwise, I use the plastic tube and leaves trick too.

I have found that all the scent control stuff on the market won't make up for the wind.

WOOL IS A NATURAL PRODUCT THAT DOES NOT NEED WASHED. hANG IT OUTSIDE FOR A COUPLE DAYS AND IT WILL NATURALLY TAKE ANY ODORS OUT OF IT. nOW, THIS DOES NOT TAKE CARE OF MUD, DIRT, ETC. sO YOU CAN WASH BY HAND OR IN A WASHER WITH WOOL SCENT FREE WASH AND HANG DRY. BUT YOU WILL WANT TO STRETCH IT WHILE IT'S HANGING. GO OUT EVERY 15 MINUTES AND PULL AND TUG ON THE WOOL. YOU WILL FEEL IT STRETCHING BACK OUT. TRUST ME ON THIS, I OWN sLEEPING INDIAN AND KOM AND THIS IS WHAT THE MANUFACTURES RECOMMEND. CALL TED AT SLEEPING INDIAN AND HE WILL GIVE YOU A FULL CLASS ON WOOL.

leatherneck is right, i think sleeping indian has some washing tips on thier site, KOM says you can mashine wash, SI says no!
