It took a long time, but I finally acquired an anaconda skin for my Silvertip.
I had to buy it tanned, which was the only way I could get it.
I've done a few limb sets with tanned skins, and it can be a pain.....but this one goes on my extra set of limbs for my personal Tip. So I have the ability to take my time and get it right.
Here I am, about ready to apply. I had to press them while wet under pressure to get them thin enough to apply. Pretty thick skin once tanned.
So in the near future, I hope to show you the finished limbs.
But for now, here is a preview:

That will be a sharp looking set of limbs.

They are beautiful skins, but I wanna cry when I think of those veneers being covered up.

The veneers are NOT being covered up. The bellies are bocote, the backs are just plain old actionwood.
I would never do such a thing!
