was in my stand bright and early today. 7 am 2 does come in down wind, closed to with in 35 yards and winded me, slowly trotted off. little while later watched a coyote mouse for while, young dog, lip squeaked him in to about 25 yards only to sit, figure something was wrong and double back. about 8:30 I look in the field behind me and see a LOAD of deer enter the field, as they come in to view I watch 3 does trot across and behind me, then my jaw dropped!!!!! 3 BIG BIG racked bucks ( 8 or better) followed suit and trailing was a big 6 I have been watching followed by a couple more does. I have NEVER saw 4 bucks that big in 1 year in my life much less marching across a field!!! I was flabbergasted to say the least!!!! I am hunting 25 acres that I have sole permission to hunt, only stipulation s landowner does not want fire arm of any sort, bow only and that's fine with me. man I am so very close but I choose plan A and it seems the deer choose plan B ! really didn't think the bucks would still be in a bachelor group this time of year? well off to put a 3 stand up in the same field....

Ken, that's the same dream I have after I eat my super hot venison chili and fall asleep in my stand.

Saw eight bucks alone in a group on October 20th one year. Forget what you have heard or read. Weird things happen.

What a treat to have those images, but ...if I may say so, promises kept to good friends mean more then any big buck...

That is an awesome sight, for sure. I have seen this once, when 7 buck walked in line right past my ground blind. 2 spikes, 2 forkhorns, 1 small tight, with 2 massive bruisers following behind. It looked like a circus parade at about 12 yards. I shot that small sapling with a center shot that Robin Hood would have had trouble duplicating. This will keep you coming back again and again. Don't you just love it?

I had a night the last day of the season 2 years ago like that.  10 minutes before end of legal shooting light, I see a deer walk out of the woods about 80 yards away. Getting my binoculars on it, I see it's a buck, Oh it's a nice buck , wait, there's another one, oh my a third one.
A total of 5 bucks walked out there and the smallest was a 2 1/2 yr old 8 pointer. I was simply floored. Thanked the Lord for allowing me the sight and the fact that they all made it thru the season

Opening weekend, I had quite a few come by me.  One was about a 140, I didn't shoot.  i saw a real big boy come out of the corn and go back into the corn.  Considering that I have not seen a buck since and the number of hunters out there, maybe I should have taken a shot at the 140.
