I'm in the process of getting up a group to go to Maine this next spring for a bow building and spring bear hunt on tribal Indian land. I have done this hunt twice and taken bears both hunts. We will build bows in the mornings then bear hunt over active baits in the evenings.
I will have cost and dates soon but it will be a 6 day hunt. If you would be interested in this adventure please contact me if you are seriously interested in this opportunity to build a quality primitive bow and bear hunt in Maine at the same time. You could easily finish a bow and harvest a bear with it before the hunt is over. The dates are May 21st through the 28th cost for everything except food is 2500.00. call me for more details.

Let me know when you have details. Have built lots of laminated bows but have always wanted to learn the selfbow craft and an Osage self bow.  Northern Maines a beautiful place and where I killed my first bear. Sounds like a cool trip.

Man. If I was not already scheduled for Alaska next spring I would be all over this one. What a great way to spend a week. Bear hunting and bow building; that is a great combo. Looking forward to seeing how this works out Mike.

Mike Yancey

Would have loved to had you up there Steve. Its looking to be a great group.

I am leaving this hunt and bow building deposit period open till mid November. So if you want in, get your deposits and book it by the middle of November.

Mike Yancey

Guys this is a 6 day fully guided bear hunt with lodging and a bow class that you will get a bow out of for less than many spring bear hunts not as good as this. I cant believe that this is not full.

YORNOC

Deal of a lifetime people! Learning AND hunting with Mike?????
Time for me to rearrange priorities.

I would have liked to go on this one...except I delayed my cochlear implant at Mass Eye & Ear till May 31st with pre surgery checks a week before.  We will just be getting back to Boston from Aiken then.  Good luck everyone...tippit

I would love to go and if you do it again in 2018 I'll definatly go unfortunately I got conned into a trip to Germany with my wife and don't have enough vacation time for both.

Mike Yancey

It looks like we have enough interest for a group for 2018 as well. Still spots for this one in 2017

Mike Yancey

Last two weeks to sign up for this bear hunt and bow building. I also have one or two spots open for the South Africa hunt next year in August. Get with me ASAP on this hunt as well.

Up for a few more days. Looks like 2018 is going to be a good group. Don't know about next year, Ill give it a few more days before I close the group.

Still have a spot or two for the South Africa hunt next year in August. 2400.00 includes all food, guide and transportation on hunt and a warthog and impala for that price. Other game may be taken on a trophy fee.

Mike Yancey

This is the last week to sign up for the 2017 bow workshop and bear hunt! I will post more if I do a 2018.
