On the BCY website polygrip is recommended for serving B55.  I'm not finding polygrip on any of the supplier sites and am wondering if it is sold under different names?

I have made several hundred b55 strings and have never used poly grip.

What strand count string are you wanting?  What size nocks are you wanting to fit?

Polygrip is a step up from #400, but not as good as 62XS or Power Grip or Halo and only comes in...two sizes, I think.  Shoot me an e-mail and I can help with serving at a discount.

As far as I know it's not sold under any other name.

FWIW, I normally use 62XS or Halo serving on B-55.

I do have some halo on hand and will use that until it's gone.  I'm using up the last of my B50 and getting ready to switch to 55.

Another curious thing on the BCY site was the recommendation to use 400 on the end servings.  I have used it for the ends but found it needs to be wrapped very tight to wind on evenly and that forces the wax out of the B50 and into the 400.  That itself is not a big deal (I guess), but the wax carry's the black coloration with it and makes for an ugly look when the 400 is light colored as in yellow.

Had me confused!

I thought polygrip was used to keep your dentures in place!!!

I use 3D for end loop serving, or sometimes a smaller diameter Halo (.014, .017., .019)

#400 is the "old school" serving, for people who want to go that route...and it's cheap.

When you turn the uprights to serve for the loop, before serving take a piece of old serving, double it over the string where you plan to serve for the loop, pull it tight and run it down that area.  It will pull off a lot of the excess wax.

Polygrip works excellent as a center serving on all string types. I like it better than Halo. I don't have dentures, and only know about the type used for strings. It comes in .020, or .025.
If it's in your way, move it.

Polygrip (serving--haven't had a need for the other yet) works fine.  If you like it, then you'd probably like #62 Braid, 62XS, or Power Grip.  Those all come in a bigger variety of sizes and are more durable.

Y'all beat me to it. My first thought was, "Some old timer with false teeth is shooting a Hill bow and it's rattling his dentures loose."

Joking of course. Kinda got the itch to try another Hill bow.

This is all good Stuff   :biglaugh:

Pretty sure I've got a spool or two of Polygrip lying around.  If you want to try it, let me know.  I much more prefer Halo, 62XS, and Power Grip due to better durability and size selection.
